The InTime Quintet has specialized in performing the Tango Nuevo created by A. Piazzolla. Its members continue with impunity the living tradition in performing Piazzolla's quintet music, inbuing it with their own temperament , which is not exactly typical of the Nordic Countries. The combination of the quintet is the same as in Piazzolla's own legendary ensemble with the sole difference that the bandoneon is replaced by an accordeon and the frettless electric bass replaces the double bass. InTime Quintet won the first Astor Piazzolla Competition held in Castelfidardo in italy in 1994. Since their first record of Piazzolla's music came out in 1995 (Alba ABCD 110), the quintet has performed in numerous concerts , broadcasts and on television in Finland, Scandinavia ,Germany, Argentina and Latin America.

"Milonga Sentimental" CD (in preparation 1999)

Gilberto Pereyra.

Ensamble Nuevo Tango was founded in Madrid by five Argentinain musicians working and studying there. Their repertoire is based on the works of Astor Piazzolla and Fernando Egozcue, the guitarist and composer of the group. Piazzolla himself had such regard for Fernando's work that he gave the original manuscript of 500 Motivaciones as a present to him and another ENT member, Andy Aegeter, when they were members of the band Nuevos Aires, and asked them to perform its premiere when he was chosen as Honourable Citizen of Buenos Aires. The group are all classical musicians and orchestral soloists in their own right, who have not only a vast classical repertoire but experience in other styles, such as traditional tango, jazz and rock -- but as a group they will only play New Tango music. They are an unusual line-up (instruments like the cello and oboe are not traditional in tango bands) who produce a very personal sonority, but their music is carefully arranged to provide a rich, unique colour and a warm, intimate sound. The original five have been joined by a Spanish double-bass player and a Lebanese violinist (the internationally renowned Ara Malikian). Later this year (2000) they will be touring South America, and national television broadcasts are planned for Spain and Britain.

BELTANGO QUARTET - Belgrade tango quartet was founded in 1998 with wish to approach the culture and music of distant Argentina to music sympathizers through the creative opus of one of the creators of modern tango - Astor Piazzolla. Bandoneon - the instrument without which tango is conceiveless, although had originated in Europe, still reached its complete affirmation in Argentina. It has been replaced with kindred instrument of similar characteristics in this "Belgrade's" version of tango, just with a bit bigger dimensions, without which one could not imagine ethno-music from our climate - accordion.

TANGO NOVA QUINTETO - Tango Nova quintet was established as one of the music projects of Maja Popovic, music critic and the selector of Theatre City Budva music program: Tango for all times, performed for the first time in December 1998 in Podgorica on the occasion of 100 years of tango and Astor Piazzolla retrospective produced by Theatre City Budva, performed on August 3rd, 1999 and released on CD. Thanks to this project, the Quintet grew into a new exclusive ensemble in our country which reincarnates the music and quintet of Astor Piazzolla, famous Argentinean composer.
- During their performances in Montenegro (Podgorica, Bar, Herceg Novi, Budva, etc.), quintet "Tango Nova" equally excites public and professional critic by their inspired performing of Piazzolla's specific music.
- Quintet "Tango Nova" consists of eminent Montenegrin artists of different generations: Boris Kraljevic (piano), Vili Ferdinandi (violin), Veljko Belevic (double bass), Dejan Bozovic (electric guitar) and Boban Bjelic (accordion) from Belgrade.
-"Can you hear glissandos covered by rustling wether-bells of Vili Ferdinandi and Kraljevic's impressionistic bravuras with rhythmical diversity which seem to come from the most passionate Flemish masters of Renaissance - you may suddenly discover Piazzolla as your personal auditive engine for the next millennium."
