Tucson's First Annual Tango Festival:
Over 30 Hours of Milongas
March the 5th - 9th, 2009 By combining our love for all things tango, our love of tango festivals, with our love of learning tango, we are convinced we have a recipe for a unique, fun and exhilarating celebration of tango dancing, learning and sharing.

We started with a heaping helping of great weather, March is one of the prettiest times of the year in Tucson: the desert will be in full bloom and the temperatures will be around 73° F (22 ° C).
We blended that with an ample opportunity for you to work with top-notch instructors from Europe, the United States and Argentina. Then we squeezed in all the dance time we could wring out of the venue and still leave time for well-designed classes.

As a grand hurrah on Sunday we have put together a hit-and-run milonga that will not only set your tango on fire, but in turn, it will knock the socks off of Tucson’s hot spots!

Sprinkled on top of all this fun will be a dose of gender-balancing. We will be watching enrollment and keep inviting and plugging away to try to keep a good balance of leaders and followers - so sign up early!

We have been waiting, watching and listening. We will continue to watch and listen, but there will be no more waiting, the time is upon us to bring the world to Tucson.

Rumor says: “it takes two to tango.” the truth is it takes us all, it takes community!
